Public Speaking Success for Romav
After winning the Belfast heats of the Soroptimist public speaking competition in November, Romav then went on to represent our school in the grand final in Hillsborough on Saturday. Here she competed against 22 other girls from various schools around Northern Ireland and I am thrilled to say she scooped second prize! This is another incredible achievement for Romav. She is an inspiration.
Romav also delivered her speech at a TedTalks event up in Stormont a few weeks ago and was the youngest speaker in a line-up of prestigious public figures. The video will be available in the coming weeks if any of you wish to see it. I think the image below really encapsulates Romav’s achievements over the last few months and how the competition has given her a real sense of empowerment.
